Mark your calendars for March 21-25, 2022!

Research Appreciation Day (RAD) is an institutional tradition encompassing medicine, public health and basic science. The program provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to share their research efforts with the campus community and the public. The program encourages the development of joint research projects and increases the community's awareness of the outstanding quality and range of research conducted at UNT Health Science Center.

Brief History of Research Appreciation Day

The first annual Research Appreciation Program (RAP) was in in March 1993, when 102 abstracts were presented. RAP would be renamed to Research Appreciation Day (RAD) in 1994 and that title has endured for over a quarter-century. RAD has continued to grow in size, variety of research topics as well as schools representing their research.

RAD 2022 is the 29th annual event held at UNHSC. What began as an idea of Dr. Thomas Yorio in TCOM has evolved into a multi-day event attended by over 700 people, including staff, students and faculty across the entire campus and many members from the local health community.
